G. E. Fielder & Associates, Chartered environmental services include: forest stand delineation, natural resource inventory, specimen tree identification, wetland delineation, wetland mitigation planning, invasive plant identification analysis studies, habitat study and delineation, mapping and surveying, environmental assessment, and stream restoration. Permitting includes Maryland Department of the Environment, Chesapeake Bay Critical Areas, and local jurisdictions.

GEF also does Forest Conservation, Reforestation and Afforestation plans. These environmental services have been provided on a large array of sites, on existing and proposed facilities, and on lands being reviewed for acquisition. Endicott Hills, designed for Mitchell & Best, has received the Secretary of Department of Natural Resources, SMBIA Environmental Award in 2003. The project is to receive the prestigious Arbor Day Foundation Award in October 2004. The Preserve at Avenel, a Natelli Communities project, received the 1997 Red Maple Award. GEF provided forest stand delineation and conservation plans as well as site planning, landscape plans, expert witness testimony and lot layout.

Municipal Planning: G. E. Fielder & Associates, Chartered provides planning services to municipalities. Services include expert witness review, testimony, and permit review.

As a general rule, the planning process is a systematic process that emphasizes thorough site analysis, assessment of regional setting, analysis of environmental sensitivity, appraisal of alternative designs, and cost evaluation. Master Plan projects include residential, commercial, industrial, and recreation.
